My Ray of Sunshine

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Good morning! I seem to be on a roll this week. I told you I would be! It's time to work that Font-Astic Title with the Oct Working Title challenge at Paper Issues

I have never cut into new papers so quickly. It all started with the  Hello Sunshine piece from the Magical Phrase Chipboard Thickers from the new Dear Lizzy Star Gazer collection.  I also couldn't wait to use the Color/Circle Burst free cut file. Fast forward an hour or so, Ive sewn around the cut file, cut and glued 6 of the different papers, added a few die cuts and puffy stickers and voila! It's done!

So every morning, I have to drag this guy out of bed. Typical teen ager right? But then he gets to the landing of the staircase, and smiles at me. He sits there for a few minutes to wake up, then I have to entice him some more to come all the way down the stairs. Some days are harder than others. That smile makes everything a little easier.

Thanks so much for stopping by my creative view today. I'm not done this week, so come back again! Let me tell you, this new Dear Lizzy is truly unbelievable. Get some now before it's going for 20% off when you use DEVRA at checkout!

Showered

Thursday, June 1, 2017

Hey there and Happy June! I'm starting the month off by joining the Working Title challenge at Paper Issues. This month our titles are "one little word'. Yep, one word, and it needs to be little.

Ive been digging through old photos lately. I stumbled on a group from my bridal shower. That led me to the title, "showered' and then the products. I decided on Pink Paislee (PTE) Oh My Heart. Why? Because of the eclectic mix of motifs! I never in a million years thought I'd use the  bowls, the sugar canisters or the handbag chipboard stickers. So I made them the focus of the page. The rest of it is pretty simple. A few strips of paper and a small cluster of puffy stickers at the top.   Done.

Thanks so much for stopping by my creative view today. I hope you find some inspiration and join our June challenges. Remember when you shop to use my code DEVRA at checkout for 205 off your purchase!

Baby, You Can Drive

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Good morning! I have my first project for Paper Issues May challenges today. We have a new Working Title! This month's idea is to put your title on a curve.

I really like the real life and positive sentiments in the PinkFresh Live More collection. I found them to be a nice fit for this page.  I didn't want anything overly themed. It was a happy day for my son. I used some scraps of paper, but really put the focus on the Die Cuts, Puffy Stickers, and sentiment stickers. Because of course the title needed to stand out, I used my WRMK Thickers alignment guide to place the oh so awesome Copper Foil Alpha stickers to create the wave.

Yep. My son got his driver's license. I don't know what else I want to say about that. How did he grow up so quickly? Well, I hope he likes running errands...

As always, thanks for being here with my creative view. Head over to the Paper Issues shop to grab yourself some PinkFresh, or any of the other new goodies that have recently arrives, such as Echo Park, Carta Bella and Simple Stories.
