Cool Beans

Saturday, April 11, 2020

Hey there! I'm on the Paper Issues blog today sharing this fun project for our Free File Free For All challenge. We have so many incredible FREE cut files sometimes it's hard to choose.  Not today friends. I've had this idea for quite some time. I just didn't take the time to do it, until today.

I started with 2 things.  The Rainbow Background  cut file and Nuvo Drops. Yep. That's my idea.  I filled in each curve with all the rainbow colors of Nuvo. Let me tell you, it was a painstaking process, but so worth it. It took some time to figure out the right amount of pressure to get the right thickness. Once I did, it went faster. Don't go too fast, mistakes happen. Ask me, I know.

Once it was dry, the rest was a breeze. I grabbed my newest Swag Bag and some Amy Tangerine Picnic in the Park ephemera. After layering behind the photo, I added a few more pieces of ephemera a few rainbow shaker slices and called it quits.

I love jelly beans. Jelly Bellys are my favorite, but I look forward to all the fun flavors available around Easter. Jolly Rancher jelly beans were a good find! I wonder what's coming next!

Thanks so much for stopping by my creative view today. There are so many FREE cut files in the shop right now. There really is something for everyone. You can find all of the April Challenges in  Facebook Group. Shop the Paper Issues store for new Amy Tangerine and so much more. Use DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your purchase.

Hey there! I'm on the Paper Issues blog today featuring this page I made for the June Gloom challenge.

Now see, I'm one of those people who scraps about everything. The good, bad and ugly. So I was not afraid of this challenge. But, when I do scrap about the not so fun or in this case, gloomy side of things, I always try to find a way to brighten the situation with color and always, always with humor. Take it from me, gloomy doesn't have to mean dark and blah!

Today I used the colorful June Pontoon Kit to tell a little story about a hospital adventure we had while attending my grandfather's funeral. Yep. That really happened. I won't tell you why we were there. Nobody wants to hear that part! If I was gonna scrap this, it was gonna be funny, and silly. Because it was not at the time.

I cut apart, then grouped by color a bunch of the hexagons. Why? Why not. I embellished some of them with a variety of Nuvo Drops. Each group them became the backdrop for the photos.  A few pieces of Shimelle Sparkle City ephemera and A Flair for Buttons finished this off.  Really. It was that easy.

Thanks for stopping by my creative view. Ive got a few ideas brewing. Come back again to see how they shake out.

I'm telling you. The Paper Issues kits are the way to go. They make everything so easy to put together. You can find them and so much more in the Paper Issues shop.
