Marvel-Us

Hello! I'm on the Paper Issues blog today. I have a project for the Stars and Stripes challenge. I figured since the 4th of July has already past, I wouldn’t do a patriotic page. But I wound up doing one anyway. Kind of...

My sister and I went to Disneyland last weekend. We took photos everywhere. Oh man, how I love Marvel movies. A photo in front of Captain America’s shield? Yes please. And so the red, white and blue page came to be.

I started with the Stitching Starburst cut file and Bella Blvd Fireworks and Freedom collection. Stars? Check. Stripes? Check. On to embellishing. I layered stickers and sequins around the stars and the photo. Oh it really is as simple as that!

Thanks for taking a look at my creative view today. You know the month isn’t over yet! You still have until Aug 4 to get your challenge entries added to the July challenge album in our Facebook group. New items are added to the Paper Issues shop as we speak! Where the Wild Things Are

Hey there! I have a project on The Cut Shoppe blog today featuring the brand new Photo Album cut file. I kinda have a thing about frames right now and couldn't wait to use it!

This cut file is made for multiple photos, which is exactly how I used it today. We took a ridiculous amount of photos at a recent visit to the zoo. I chose 4 of my many favorites for this layout. First I cut the file out of a darker Crate Paper patterned paper. I backed all the frames where I was adding photos with the same 2 patterned papers.  I decided to embellish the center frame, so used another paper for that one.

I love having the extra space beneath the photos! I embellished the frames in a few ways. Clusters, sentiments, labels.. the possibilities are endless.

We always do something fun for my son's birthday. This year was our first trip to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, the animals were active and we all had a great time.

Thanks so much for stopping my creative view today. Check out all the new cut files in The Cut Shoppe today! See you Again soon!

52 Favorites - 4th Fun

Friday, July 19, 2019

Hey there! Im on the Paper Issues blog today sharing one of my July weeks in my  52 Friday favorites book.

This is my absolute favorite challenge we've ever had at Paper Issues. Why? Well, first of all, what a great excuse to go out there and make some memories! Better yet, combine it with one of the monthly I Spy photo challenges and we've given you all the ideas too!  But seriously, sometimes I use this challenge as a reminder that there are weeks you aren't able to do anything really special, but you can always find something special in every week.

Anyway. Let me share my secret weapon in getting these done in 30 minutes or less. Yep. that's right. 30 minutes or less! It's the Swag Bags ! I get one every month and use them specifically for this project. This month's bag was filled with patriotic, and summery pieces that coordinate together perfectly. I worked with a few of the patriotic pieces of paper and embellishments this week to document our super low key day celebrating the 4th of July.  It was so easy!

Each month I make my own Traveler's Notebook insert . Here is my book for July.

Thanks so much for stopping by my creative view today. I know it's been a while, but I promise I have lots to share. If you can't find me here, you can always find me on Instagram @thebeachygal.

Home Sweet Home

Tuesday, July 2, 2019

Hey there! I'm  sharing this layout on The Cut Shoppe Blog today. I used the Mid Century Modern cut file. Don't you think it's perfect for a photo about a home? I do! I came across this old photo of me in my first apartment. All I could think about was this cut file.

I really like layers on my pages. paper, embellishments, all of it. I wanted to layer the cut file, but didn't want to back it with other papers. I found if I used the 'offset' feature on the Silhouette, I could create an edge to place around the cut file. This gives it the appearance of layers!

Pairing cut files with the right papers makes all the difference for me. In this case, Pink Paislee Auburn Lane had the right vibe. It's part fall, part family, part cozy at home. This page is everything I wanted it to be.

Thanks for stopping by my creative view today. I have a lot going on and a lot to share. If you can't find me here, you can find me on Instagram @thebeachygal.  See you again soon.
