Emoji Love Mini Book
Happy Sunday Morning to you! I went a little but crazy this week and made a mini book! I never make mini books! But the Simple Stories Emoji Love is a little but crazy, and screamed at me to do something different, So I did!
I started with an old 6x6 chipboard album, covering all the pages with several different Emoji Love papers. I chose some random family photos that I could totally make fun of using all the emojis.
The 3x4, 4x4 and 4x6 cut apart papers were key to making this project quick and easy. And always, always embellishments! They are my weakness! I used them all!! Because the die cut ephemera, Cardstock stickers, chipboard pieces and decorative brads added all the right silly details!
To finish off the book, I cut some of the emojis from the Feeling all the Feels cut file to use as page turners. They are so cute peeking out the top of the book!

Clearly this project was all about the papers and embellishments. Emoji Love is so wacky and fun I had to go all out creating something just as silly and fun. This collection just puts a smile on my face. If you can't laugh and have a good time creating, what's the point right?
I am definitely calling out Emoji Love as something you need to have. Really. Treat yourself. When you do shop, use my code DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your purchase. As always, thanks for stopping by my creative view. I appreciate you being here and ant wait to show you more projects!

Well good morning! Yes, you can call me a slacker! It's been more than a week since my last post. Well, I'm here, and I have a new layout! Paper Issues is putting the spotlight on the new Doodlebug Designs Fairy Tales and Dragon Tails collections.
My favorite thing about Doodlebug is all the bright colors. Also, that they use the colors are consistent in every collection. So no surprise, but I bought Dragon Tails. Yes. It's birthday themed, but you had me at blue, green and turquoise! And dragons! They can be used anywhere.
So, I used the B side of Friendly Fleet paper and the Starring You free cut file for the circle. I wanted to focus on my son. Tucking the photo into the circle helped do that. Then I took the Dragon Dots cut apart strips to create the borders around the page. Mostly because I love the colors! I used a mixture of the Odds & Ends Die Cuts, Dragon Babies Doodlepops, and This & That Cardstock stickers. A few sprinkles and flair and done! These colors are amazing and look! Its not a birthday page!
Nope, Its a graduation page! 5th grade graduation that is! What an afternoon! It was a disaster for my son. It started late. The ceremony was so, so, long. No body was helping to distract or calm him. I sat on the floor with him, trying to do all that. Finally it was his turn to walk across the stage. Stairs meant no walker, so I helped him walk across the stage. He smiled and got a huge round of applause so I guess it was worth it. We left immediately afterwards, He was DONE!
Thank you so much for stopping by my creative view today! Ive got more things up my sleeve, so come back again soon.
You know you should go right now and buy yourself some of this Doodlebug Dragon Tails. I just showed you it doesn't have to be a birthday page. Use my code DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your purchase!

Hello and good morning! Oh I'm so happy about today's Product Spotlight at Paper Issues! Fancy Pants Family & Co is what its all about today!
Oh my goodness this collection is loaded with beautiful, saturated colors, and fun everyday family motifs! I love it! Here is what I di with the first of I'm sure many I will make with it!
I only used 2 papers, Family Matters is the main strip. Altogether is what I sued to with the wreath cut file. Everything else on the page are embellishments. I used the ephemera die cuts, puffy stickers, tags and chipboard alpha, and chipboard pieces. I tucked and layered around the the photo and that was really it. I got the idea form another DT mate who is a master at this technique.
I love baseball and take every opportunity to go see a game. Believe me, it's real not that often. my family does not love it as much as I do, but its an excuse to spend a day, or evening together, We've learned our home ballpark has exceptional services for fans with disabilities, That really make the evening even more enjoyable.
Thanks so much for being here with me today! I love it when you stop by. I really think Fancy Pants Family & Co is a wonderful collection. You should get some. I dont think its going to be around very long. Please use my code DEVRA when you check out for 20% off your purchase

Helo there! Im sharing a really fun page I created for today's Get It Scrapped blog article. There are so many fantastic ways to use embellishments, But how about combining them to create something new! I chose to use all kinds of embellishments arranged in the shape of a specific motif.
I die cut an oversized basketball and filled it with all the small orange embellishments I could find. It's filled with buttons, brads, sequins and even random chipboard letters. I chose to fill each segment with one embellishment so the shape of the ball could still be seen. By embelliishing the basketball, I have put emphasis on the ball, reinforcing the effort it takes my son to get the ball into the basket.
My son does not like to do his physical therapy 'exercises'. We disguised his exercises as a game of basketball. Not only did he work hard, he did it without protesting and we all had fun playing together.

Hello there! Yes! I'm back again. Today I'm sharing what I created for the new Pinspire Me challenge at Paper Issues. Check out this fantastical board!
There there is so much inspiration here! At first I thought, oooh, yellow. Then hot dogs.! Well, what really got to me was the font in the first column, middle square. So I grabbed the Amy Tangerine alpha that it brought to mind and went to work! I created a bright springy page using primarily the Good morning and Rise & Shine papers, tucking several tags and ephemera under and around the page. The alpha really ties it all together.
There are days I really wonder what he's really thinking. He got off the bus from school, and just sat down on the front step, He was just so happy sitting, playing with his toys. It's not something he usually does, or has done many times since this day. But it sure was an enjoyable afternoon!
Thanks so much for being here twith me and my creative. view today! I hope you will continue to come back, I have so much more to share! Speaking of sharing, we want to see how your are Pinspired! Create something and share it on our Facebook group. Remember, when you shop for Oh Happy life or Nything else that Rick,es your fancy, use my code, DEVRA for 20% off your purchase.

Good morning! It's Positively Pets day at Paper Issues! Yep, the day where your projects are all about the animals in our lives. This mo this challenge is an east one. We want to see 3 manufacturers on your projects. Yep. That's it!
So, here is my furry friend. I started with the new Cross Cross cut file , cut with the Good Guy paper from the Fancy Pants Good Fellows collection. I really just layered papers under the photos, but the fun thing I did was clip the photos to the lines, like hanging from a clothes line. A few clusters of embellishments, including Puffy stickers, wood from Freckled Fawn, mini paper clips by Doodlebug and the American Crafts alphas, and there is my 3 (plus) manufacturers!
My my husband was bored, and probably lonely one night I wasn't home. Good thing we have a dog who's a good sport! Dog selfies were his entertainment for the evening.
This is one of my favorite challenges. I love our dog and want to remember him always. We want to see what you creat too! Pick up some Good Fellows or some of our other new collections in the Paper Issues shop. Please remember to use DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your purchase!
Thanks for being here with me at my creative view. Come back for more tomorrow!

Good morning! It's time for another Product Spotlight at Paper Issues. Today the spotlight is on the new PinkFresh Live More. I will be honest, I have not used a lot of PinkFreash in the past, but I LOVE this collection. Maybe its the real life aspect of it, maybe its the colors. But the whole of it appealed to me. So, here is my first attempt!
I cut apart the Focus paper, placing it on white card stock. I went through the phrase stickers, placing relevant ones in between the colored lines. I added a few die cuts, some more phrases and puffy stickers, a title using the copper foil alphas and called it finished, The colors are so light and airy, combined with my photo called for a clean background. As much as I wanted to throw down some splatters, I didn't!
Thanks so much for stopping by my creative view today! I cant wait to create more things with the PinkFresh Live More collection. You should try it too! It's 20% off when you use my code DEVRA at checkout!

Well good morning! Again! Todays is Take 5 Tuesday at Paper Issues. I love this challenge. Picking from a list of things is fun, as well as challenging.
For my page today I used Yellow, Color of your choice (blue) Wood pieces, Patterned Paper and Stars. I love circles. And I love this Bubble Ring cut file. Oh it so goes with this photo and story. As I was looking through my stash I found Amy Tangerine Better Together. I didnt realize I had so much of it! I went thru the papers, putting together a blue/green color scheme. I threw in a little yellow and pink for contrast and that's it, Cut files make putting together pages so simple!
Going through old photos has been really fun. I found this of my son have some sensory therapy at school. His teacher was always so creative and trying new things with the kids. I laughed when I saw this because I'd forgotten how much he liked to be wrapped and snuggled when he was a baby. i guess some things don't change.
Thanks for being here today! It's going to be a busy week at my creative view, so come back again soon. I may have been digging in my stash, but guess what? You an still get some Better Together as well as new Simple Stories and Elle's Studio in the Paper Issues shop! You can get 20% off your purchase when you use my code DEVRA

Good morning! This month Paper Issues is packed with great challenges! Let's start this fine Monday with our New Issue, Put the Petal/Pedal to the Metal/Medal. There are so many ways to use this theme! Here are a few ideas for you:
-Use metallics and/or metal embellishments
-Create a project using flowers or about gardening and spring
-Share something about transportation like bicycles, motorcycles, cars (your first car or current ride), toy cars
-Show us a project about awards and/or accomplishments
-Create a project using flowers or about gardening and spring

-Show us a project about awards and/or accomplishments
My page comes from Put the Pedal to the Metal. I've had these photos for a couple year and just hadn't taken the time to get them onto paper until now. I figured I had several bicycle embellishments in my stash, but chose to play with the newest Dear Lizzy collection, Lovely Day. This line has so many different motifs in it. There is soft & sweet, sarcastic and inspiring. I put a bit of all of that into this page. I had some scraps of More Friday, which I used both sides of, as well as a small piece of the Oh Hello paper. Th rest are pieces of chipboard phrase Thickers and ephemera. As Ive been in a stitching binge. I stitched part of the title, setting it onto a shelf of the scallop background cut file.
I'm insistent about my son having access to typically learning children while at school. The best way we found to do that is to have him attend a GenEd PE class. Best decision we ever made. He has a bike that he rides almost every day. Twice a year, the PE class has a Bike Safety unit. It was really the first time that he cold do the exact sane thing as everyone else. He may not have been able to go as fast or fluid as them, but he was so happy to be with him it didn't matter.
Thanks so much for joining me along my creative view. I think this is my 5th LO with the Lovely Day collection. I guess I really like it. That means that you will too. You can get that and so much more in the Paper Issues shop. Use my code DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your purchase. We love to see what you create. Please join us and share your work in our Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group.

Good morning! How is it April already? I think that is the real April fools joke! Anyway, I'm going to start the month off right, beginning with Sketchy Saturday, the first Paper Issues challenge of the month. You can find all the details and rules of participation on the Paper Issues blog. Hen join us in our Facebook group to share your projects! Here is our new sketch. It's a fun one to play with!
Here is my page using the sketch. I saw a lot of different ways to play. But I was really inspired to take the design and use it as the foundation for the page. Bella Blvd Make Your Mark was still on my desk and I thought it would be a great collection to use for these photos. I cut the Paint Me Pretty and Daily Details, and Make Time papers to use as the base of the design. I placed my photos on top, added several different embellishments and called it finished. It's a bright colorful page, indicative of how I feel about it.
I was recently gifted this FirBit. Sometimes a random act of kindness strikes at a time when you need it most, and therefore truly means a lot. This is one of those times. So the best way I can think of to day thank you is to use it everyday, which I am. My goal it to get to those 500 miles by June and I am well on my way. I'll keep you posted.
As always, thanks so much for being a part of my creative view. I am really happy I bought the Bella Blvd Make Your Mark collection and I think you will be too. So please, throw some in your cart and use my code DEVRA at checkout for 20% off your order. Cant beat that!
