Hey Hey! It's July people! July! This year is flying by I tell ya' and it needs to slow down. Anyway, I'm on the Paper Issues blog today sharing one of the new July challenges, Songs of Summer.
Need a hint what this challenge is about? Use a favorite summer song as inspiration for your project. It's as easy as that.
Now, I have to admit, I didn't start with my song. What?!? Nope. I actually had no idea what I was going to do for this challenge and it didn't come to me until after I'd chosen my photo. Truth? It was as I'd decided to stitch the Sunset cut file too. Then it all came together. A beautiful (almost) summer sunset, sunset cut file...oh right, the song! Now all I needed was paper and stuff. I was thinking about the colors of summer sunsets, beach and water. I was pretty sure Crate Paper had what I wanted and I was so right! I mixed Wild Heart with some Good Vibes and even a piece of paper from Oasis.
Summer is my favorite season. A summer sunset over the ocean may be one my most favorite things in the whole world. Combine the two and this song, Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me, is the only the perfect title and inspiration for this page.
The small letters from the sticker sheet provides the right size and contrasting color. Those sunglasses! Yes
